Beast From The East 3/1-3/4
Thankful we went surfing last weekend and not this weekend because this week a storm blew in, bringing the first "huge" snow Ireland has seen in a century! They even named the storm - The Beast From The East - it has successfully closed everything for the entire week including classes, stores, business, all transportation and even some pubs. Click here to read more!
The day the storm hit I was out to lunch with a group of friends here also on ERASMUS (what they call studying abroad students in Europe) Elise (French), Ondre (Cezch), Seth & Garret (American), and Jakob with his two friends (Austria) to an amazing place called Shi Wang Yun Chinese Restaurant. Went to Elise's had coffee and chatted about the differences in French and American schooling system, and then met up with a group of girls at the shops. About an hour in though the shops announced they would all be closing due to the "big storm" headed our way and we were all forced out of the shop. The grocery stores had queues around the entire store and all the shelves were empty.
On our third day home we started going crazy but with nothing to do we had to be inventive. So after walking an hour we were at a friends house on the northside of Dublin to watch Germany's Next Top Model. We were with a group of girls from Germany, Finland and France and we all brought cookies, crisps, made hot chocolate and did face masks. (ft.
